Callaway recently invested more than $50 million to its ball production facility to make an even better product. The new Callaway Chrome Soft for 2022 is one of those products that has taken advantage of the advanced precision now available for Callaway’s ball teams.

For 2022 the Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls come in three different models. The Chrome Soft X and Chrome Soft X LS golf balls join the regular Chrome Soft in the lineup and each of the balls got x-rayed to find the centre spots of their cores.

This is a big-time scientific advancement from Callaway as part of its overall re-commitment to quality control. In sum, the x-ray effort allows Callaway to increase the precision of each ball coming off the line.

“This ball has made me a better player, and I can hit shots that I’ve never been able to before. And that’s the confidence you want to have on the course,” said world No.1 Jon Rahm about the new Callaway Chrome Soft.

According to a deep dive into the technology from Golf.com, the X-ray machine from Callaway is set to help each ball improve its uniformity and pass that precision on to the golfer. According to the Golf.com study, even if you were to hit a ball with imperfections you can’t see, depending on how the golf ball is aligned you could either hit or miss a green.

The X-ray technology used to develop the new Callaway Chrome Soft for 2022 should now mean greater consistency from shot to shot, and any time a variable is eliminated in golf is a positive for those who play the game. Each of the new Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls also boast Hyper-Elastic SoftFast Cores to help increase speed as well as Tour Aero cover constructions to help improve ball flight.

Golfers looking for maximum distance in a lower-spin profile will be happy with the new Callaway Chrome Soft X LS. Players looking to “bomb it” off the tee, according to Callaway, should lean towards the Chrome Soft X LS. Also available in White, Yellow, and Triple Track, the Chrome Soft X LS has solid greenside control, and very fast ball speeds off the tee.
